With the combined expertise of two of our agents, 7 Ruby Street in Hawthorn achieved the highest sale value in Australia one week.

Earlier this month, Little Real Estate agents Jeffrey Wilson and Shawn White topped the list of the week’s national property sales with a $5.175 million outcome for local Hawthorn homeowners Catherine and Roger Brown.

Several factors influenced the couple’s decision to sell their spacious home in Melbourne’s inner-east, including purchasing a property in the coveted Melburnian building on bustling St Kilda Road.

“We wanted a lifestyle change – closer to the city and closer our beach house at Barwon Heads,” Catherine explained.

Little Real Estate agents Shawn White and Jeffrey Wilson were the clear choice for the couple because of the previous successful results they had achieved for them in prior home transactions.

“Jeff and Shawn sold an apartment for us five years ago and did a great job,” Roger said.

Having experienced the service before, they had high hopes for the sale at 7 Ruby Street and were not disappointed with the results.

“Jeff and Shawn were always available and they were both always there at the open for inspections and were able to show the prospective buyers all the positives of the place,” Catherine said.

The vendors also noted that the valuable negotiation skills of the agents helped secure the best results for them.

“Negotiation is very important and I think Jeff’s experience certainly counted there,” Roger added.

At the end of the journey, the property sold for an impressive $5.175 million – over and above the expectations of the owners.

“At the start we expected $5 million but Jeff and Shawn thought it was going to go for quite a bit more, so they increased their expectations and we ended up with $5.175 million and we were very comfortable with that,” Roger explained.

Another important part of discussions was negotiating an appropriate settlement period to allow the couple a smooth transition into their new home.

“We were very happy with the result and we secured a six-month settlement so that fits in with our plans as far as the future goes,” Catherine added.

The couple is excited for the new stage of their life in their new inner-city dwelling and looks forward to the opportunity to work with Little Real Estate’s Jeffrey and Shawn in the future.

“They were very professional and very knowledgeable and just a pleasure to deal with,” Catherine added.
