Implementing changes to the rental process to keep everyone safe

The coronavirus pandemic has presented the world with challenges and obstacles we must try to overcome. Having a place to live and knowing that your real estate agent is there for you in these trying times is what we are making our first priority.

Little Real Estate is open and available for you, however we are taking advice and following instructions from the Australian Government very closely and seriously, in order to keep everyone involved safe and healthy. We are doing everything we can to ensure your rental experience is as smooth as possible.

Changes to the rental process

  • We have delayed physical routine inspections and are conducting them digitally - We are currently asking tenants to take pictures of each room and outdoor areas of the property.
  • We have cancelled all open inspections, but if you are interested in one of our available properties, you can book in for a one-on-one, private viewing.

What is staying the same?

Tenants are still able to move in and vacate our properties.

  • Vacating - If you are due to vacate one of our properties, then this will still happen, ensuring we minimise physical contact with tenants and the property manager. Final inspections are still being conducted but we are highly recommending tenants not to attend, and the final report will be sent out to you.
  • Moving in -  We still have available properties to move in to, however instead of meeting face to face, we may conduct all necessary appointments via video or phone, and are able to send you all documents electronically.

Keys are still available for pick up and drop off at our offices, however we have implemented strict measures to ensure we are adhering to the social distancing rules.

Rental payments

If Covid-19 has affected your income and rent has become an issue, the best thing to do is to speak to your property manager. The advice from the Government is to find the best solution on a case-by-case basis. This is a discussion that your property manager will have with you, the tenant and owners, to ensure that we facilitate the best solution for everyone involved. We understand this is a difficult time for a lot of people, and we are here to help and assist where possible.

We are here for you

Apart from physically distancing, your property manager and our company have the same availability as usual. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your situation, please contact your property manager or customer care on 1300 LITTLE (548 853). Alternatively, you can find more information here for Queensland, New South Whales and Victoria. Do not hesitate to reach out if you require any assistance, and stay safe in these challenging times.
